Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Law
Creation, transfer and termination of timeshare rights; rights of withdrawal in holiday contracts and consumer law compliance.
A timeshare (devre mülk) is a registered easement giving the right to use a unit for set periods each year; a timeshare holiday (devre tatil) is usually an unregistered contractual right of use.
Timeshare-holiday contracts are regulated in consumer law: rules on withdrawal, pre-contractual information and the ban on advance payments protect the consumer. The tax and tenancy consequences of timeshares also need separate assessment.
